Padampa Sangye’s Wrathful 4-Bay Mantra and Practice for Healing
A 4-week course with Lotsawa David Molk - online via Zoom
Padampa Sangye was a legendary Indian Buddhist master who brought radical teachings to Tibet and was Machig Labdrön's teacher. A wandering yogi with wild, unconventional methods, he founded the Zhijé (Pacification) tradition, which used direct techniques to sever ego-clinging and cut through suffering. Part mystic, part madman, part sage—Padampa emphasized experiencing emptiness directly rather than merely studying it, making enlightenment visceral and immediate. His uncompromising wisdom still echoes through Tibetan Buddhism today.
In this 4-week series, Lotsawa David Molk—translator of numerous Tibetan Buddhist works and author of acclaimed books including “Lion of Siddhas: The Life and Teachings of Padampa Sangye” and “Chod in the Ganden Tradition”—will explore Padampa Sangye's extraordinary life and legacy.
David will bestow the lung for Padampa's name mantra, as well as the transmission of his Wrathful Four-Bay mantra and practice—a powerful method for healing and transformation.
